Microsoft on board for MADE 2015

25 August 2015

The Chief Envisioning Officer of Microsoft UK is joining a host of world class business speakers to deliver a masterclass at this year’s MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival 2015.

Dave Coplin will be providing an insight into “the future of technology in business” as part of the main programme of festival activity taking place at Sheffield City Hall on Thursday 22 October.

Dave’s masterclass will explore how the rapidly rising volume of information is affecting all aspects of our lives as consumers, customers, as workers and in business. He’ll address the problems we face, and the mistakes and assumptions we make and how we should be using technology to reimagine how we live, work and do business.

As a self-confessed technology “alchemist”, his latest book, “The Rise of the Humans” provides a call to action, for both individuals and organisations to harness not hate the digital deluge, to rise up and take back control of the potential that technology offers our society.

Dave’s MADE appearance should be a thought provoking segment in this year’s diverse programme as he joins an inspirational line up of speakers including JB Gill, farmer, entrepreneur and former member of boyband JLS; Annabel Karmel, leading cookery author and entrepreneur; Kevin Byrne, CEO and Founder of Checkatrade.com; Joe McEwan, Head of Digital at Innocent Drinks and many more.

As well as the usual mix of inspirational success stories, this year’s MADE will focus on offering festival goers practical hands-on advice with a series of MADE Masterclasses covering a range of key business topics such as low cost digital marketing, increasing sales and outstanding customer service.

In addition to the main festival programme at Sheffield City Hall, an extensive programme of Fringe events is also in the pipeline with events set to take place across the week from Monday 19 - Friday 23 October.
