The Sheffield Enterprise Programme is committed to raising awareness of running a business from an early age:
BiG Challenge
Now in its sixth year, teams from across Sheffield’s secondary schools and colleges have the opportunity to win a fully paid 5 star overseas trip.
Each team has to make as much profit as possible on an initial £25 cash investment, using any legal means.
Each team requires a member of staff to support its entry and is helped by local business and university volunteers.
Sponsorship for the trip is provided by DLA Piper. BiG Challenge 5 winners were awarded a once in a lifetime trip to DLA Piper in Dubai.
Young Entrepreneurs Club
A business network for teenagers aged 14-19 who are interested in business – whether that’s starting a business, studying business, apprenticeship or just making the most of their interests.
Students take part in fun coaching activities, hear from local business people, get involved in a members board and visit top businesses around the country.
The club has helped several young entrepreneurs on their business journey with a number of its members winning prestigious young enterprise awards.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer mentor or sponsoring BiG Challenge please call the Enterprise Gateway on 0800 0435522.
