The Gardeners Rest is a community run pub in Neepsend, Sheffield. They pride themselves on the high quality of the beer selection and the regular arts and musical events held in the pub. They are also proud that they, the customers, own and run the pub as a community project. So not only is it a great pub to drink in, they also undertake charitable work with vulnerable adults and people with learning difficulties, by providing employment opportunities and meeting space. As they’re fond of saying: ‘we’re more than a pub, we’re a community hub’.
The Gardeners has a wide range of customers with a healthy mixture of older and younger people using the pub. There’s free parking on the surrounding roads and it is only a five minute walk from the Langsett Road tram stop and across from the no. 8 bus stop.
So why not come and have a pint!
