Taste Sheffield’s Beer Scene at Home
25 June 2020
Sheffield has a prolific reputation when it comes to producing beer and since the strength of the city’s beer scene was properly documented back in 2016, it’s only continued to get stronger.
The thirst for Sheffield beer didn’t disappear when you couldn’t physically buy a pint over the bar and lots of businesses have been working hard to keep the good stuff flowing, adapting to offer take outs, deliveries and mail orders.
While we’re all excited for pubs to reopen in time for the Great British summer, it’s also worth remembering that things still won’t be completely ‘business as normal’ for a little while yet. Lots of pubs are introducing booking systems, so it won’t be as simple to pop out for a pint as it was pre-lockdown.
It’s also completely understandable if you don’t feel quite ready to venture out there, but don’t let that put you off tasting what the city has offer! With the help of Sheffield Beer Week organiser, Jules Gray, we’ve summarised the shops, pubs and breweries that are making sure you can still enjoy a taste of the Sheffield beer scene safely in the comfort of your own home…
