The venue offers a range of high quality sports performance areas including Judo, Combat, Netball, Badminton, as well as an Athletics Arena complete with 200m 6-lane track and throws area plus the exclusive World Snooker Academy.
EISS is an inspiring setting for conferences and seminars with a range of meeting rooms and an in-house catering service. To compliment the facilities there is a health & fitness membership, The Valley, which is dedicated to offering on-going guidance and support with regular personal training sessions and a capped membership.
The Institute is home to representatives of a number of National Governing Bodies and influential sporting organisations including English Institute of Sport (Support Centre), England Athletics, British Judo, England Netball, England Basketball, British Volleyball, British Handball, Amateur Boxing Association, British Table Tennis Federation and South Yorkshire Sport.
In addition to the above, EISS provides a spectacular setting for major sporting events and has hosted the AAA Championships, World Volleyball Championships, English Table Tennis Championships, Netball European Championship, Channel 4 The Games and ITV Fit Club!
The Sharks have been a leading basketball franchise in the British Basketball League since 1994 having won 10 championship titles throughout its 14 year existence.

BY CAR - The event car park is based off site at Sheffield Arena. Follow Brown signs for Sheffield Arena from Junctions 33&34. From the City Centre - Follow signs for A57/M1 then A6109 Lower Don Valley. Pick up signs for Sheffield Arena. Please ensure you leave an extra 10 minutes for travel from the car park to the English Institute of Sport - Sheffield.

BY TRAM - Supertram Park and Ride options are available at M1 J34 - Meadowhall and M1 J33 Sheffield City Centre. Travel takes 15mins or less.
The Arena / Don Valley Stadium Supertram stop is 5 mins walk from the EIS.
BY BUS - Numbers 69, 130. 287 run from Sheffield City Centre & Meadowhall. They stop outside the EIS.
BY TRAIN - Trains run to Sheffield City Centre and Meadowhall Transport Interchange. Both are next to a Supertram stop
Accessible by Public Transport: Meadowhall station is 1 mile away.
