Wentworth Woodhouse, one of the largest houses in Europe and two houses of totally different architectural styles built by The First Marquess of Rockingham between 1725 & 1750, the west front of the house in the baroque style & the east front in the later palladian style.
Wentworth Woodhouse is now open to the public after being closed and a private residence for over 25 years. They are currently open for pre-booked guided tours of the house and varied events throughout the year. They also have a Tea Room in the house (open on tour days), where you can buy tea/coffee and light refreshments like cake and biscuits, after one of your tours.
