JLS Star JB and Annabel Karmel set for MADE 2015
01 July 2015
Former member of JLS, JB Gill will share a stage with multi-millionaire mumpreneur Annabel Karmel at this year’s MADE: The Entrepreneur Festival in Sheffield, when the event returns on Thursday 22 October 2015.
Having clocked up five number one singles, two BRIT awards, two MOBO awards and two double platinum selling albums as a member of the popular boy band, JB Gill is no stranger to success. But since the band went their separate ways in December 2013, the star has been following a different road of success, as an inspiring entrepreneur with a 10 acre deer farm.
He’s also become an active advocate of Rockstar Youth’s campaign to encourage 18-30s to capitalise on the government’s Start- Up Loans initiative.
Annabel Karmel MBE is the UK's No.1 children’s cookery author and one of the UK’s leading female entrepreneurs. Since launching with The Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner more than 20 years ago, Annabel has written 40 books, selling over four million copies worldwide.
Coupled with a vast digital following, recipe apps, cookbook-inspired supermarket food ranges, Annabel has become an inspirational role model for parents – especially mothers who want to start up a business. As part of Annabel’s appearance she’ll also be promoting her latest book ‘The Mumpreneur’ and signing copies.
Joining Annabel and JB, MADE will also welcome Innocent Drinks’ Joe McEwan; Petra Wetzel of Scottish brewery West Beer; Jude Ower CEO of innovative, philanthropic gaming company Playmob and Checkatrade founder Kevin Byrne, amongst others.
As well as the usual mix of inspirational success stories and business wisdom, this year’s MADE will focus on offering practical hands-on advice that festival goers can take away and put into immediate action.
A series of MADE Masterclasses will both interweave with the main event held in Sheffield City Hall on the Thursday, as well forming a strong theme throughout the MADE Fringe programme which will see events taking place from Monday 19 – Friday 23 October.
MADE Masterclasses will provide festival goers with expert advice on a range of key business topics such as low cost digital marketing, increasing sales and outstanding customer service.
Tickets for the festival are now on sale with more events and speakers due to be announced over coming weeks. For up to date information and tickets visit www.madefestival.com
