Designed by Harry Colt in 1897, Hallamshire is known for some of the best maintained greens in the UK, and the heather and gorse clad setting on the edge of both the City of Sheffield and the Peak District ensures all year round play and fabulous views over local scenery. Hallamshire is know as a ""golfers course"" and ethusiasts will appreciate a keen test of their golfing abilities over a challenging but very fair course.
Whilst it is a members club, Hallamshire also extends a very warm welcome to visitors, parties and golfing societies alike. The layout of the course also allows multiple tee-off starting points for larger groups and societies who wish to start and finish their round at the same time. That is especially helpful for event organisers seeking to arrange a common meal time and - where relevant - a prize award ceremonies.
Hallamshire is located on the west side of Sheffield, ideally located for major City destinations including the Universities and NHS Trust locations, as well as evening activities in the City centre.
