McNige is a legend on the Sheffield music scene. He is an MC, performer, coach and mentor well known for his community work with young people across the city. He was one of the earliest breakdancers in the UK. His love for breakdancing ignited in 1983, inspired by Jeffrey Daniels’ electrifying performance on Top of the Pops. This passion led him to form the Street Crew, where he showcased his skills in performances and battles across the UK and Germany.
He is a dedicated community events host and local TV presenter, connecting with others and sharing his enthusiasm for the arts. He balances family life with his creative endeavours, inspiring the next generation with his passion and dedication. Whether he’s crafting a new project or hitting the dance floor, McNige embodies the spirit of creativity and community
