And Evermore Shall Be So

17 May 2023 - 20 May 2023

Who remembers singing "Green Grow the Rushes, O" in school assembly? I can hear you now trying to remember the tune!

Totley Operatic and Dramatic Society's May play takes its title from the last line of each verse, "And Evermore Shall Be So" written by Norman Robbins and is a murder mystery peppered with a little humour to make you laugh.

The play is about the events around a murder which took place four years before and it is interesting how the lyrics of the song seem to fit the circumstances so well.

Is there something not quite right in the village? Old tensions and suspicions are bought to the fore as not everyone wants to bring up the past.
