One of the main areas of the event is dedicated to Hanging Basket Making, giving attendees the opportunity to get their hands dirty and create their very own hanging basket by picking a selection of flowers and herbs for them to take home.
Another hub of the event will be the Green Village, where attendees can engage and connect with ongoing community projects such as Heeley City Farm and the Sheffield Wheat Experiment.
Green City Action will also be showcasing their community allotment and tool bank to inspire people who may not have their own outside space to get involved and offer a safe space for people to grow their own produce. Another part of the Green Village will allow attendees to bring their bikes along and undergo a bike MOT, to help promote safer cycling whilst out and about in Sheffield.
There'll also be an artisan market with traders selling homemade wears, delicious treats and plastic free products, along with a selection of street food traders on offer.
This event aims to showcase organisations and small businesses in and around Sheffield encouraging environmentally friendly practices to contribute towards the sustainability of the city.
