British Bouldering Championships at Cliffhanger 2023

01 Jul 2023 - 02 Jul 2023

Each year, Sheffield marks the British Bouldering Championships (BBCs) taking place live on Devonshire Green in the city centre.

Organised by the BMC, the BBCs bring the nation’s strongest male and female climbers to Sheffield to battle it out on a purpose-built bouldering wall, with the finals taking place on Sunday evening.

Not only is this a great opportunity to see future stars of the sport, but there’ll also be a strong representation of talent from the GB Climbing athletes as they take the opportunity to test their skills.

FREE for spectators to attend, aside to the main bouldering action, there will also be a range of trader stalls, street food and bars, so grab a picnic blanket and come on down to soak up the atmosphere.

If you're feeling inspired or just want to see how difficult the problems really are, there will also be a 'come and try' climbing session running on the competition wall on Sunday, 1pm - 3pm, for small additional charge £2.50 BMC members, £5 for none members.

If you can’t make it to Sheffield, fear not, as you can watch all the action LIVE on the BMC YouTube channel.
