Madeleine Mitchell, ‘one of the U.K.’s liveliest, musical forces, and foremost violinists’ (The Times), is joined by her regular duo partner, Nigel Clayton, with whom she has played at London’s Wigmore Hall on two acclaimed albums, in Singapore, throughout the UK and for BBC Radio 3.
Madeleine has had numerous pieces written for her by well-known British composers, including on her latest album, Violin Conversations, “full of riches”, (The Observer), and in this concert, she gives the premiere of a new piece written for her by the Sheffield composer George Nicholson, Professor Emeritus of Sheffield University.
