This is straight-ahead modern jazz from these two award-winning musicians, clearly coming from the Monk and Trane lineage, but not bound to emulating it.

Twice winner of Best Tenor Sax in the British Jazz Awards, Dave O’Higgins’ tenor and soprano sax sounds are highly personal and recognisable.

Rob Luft is an award-winning jazz guitarist whose virtuosity has been compared to that of six-string legends John McLaughlin, Al Di Meola & Paco De Lucia.

Expect to hear Luft easily morphing Wes Montgomery with Bill Frisell, his own trademark soundscapes and worldly influences, while O’Higgins’ emotive melodies evoke Dexter Gordon, Trane, Joe Henderson and Michael Brecker, with a melodic logic of his own.
