Although it is seventy years since Under Milk Wood made its first appearance¸ the work of Dylan Thomas remains culturally significant. In celebration of their forthcoming biography of the influential writer, Sheffield Hallam University’s Professor of Arts and Culture John Goodby and Pro-Vice Chancellor Chris Wigginton examine Thomas’s legacy through a discussion of recent examples such as a new play starring Matthew Rhys, the Star Wars movie franchise and, of course, Taylor Swift’s recent album.
