Music in the Square

Following the success of last summer’s Music on the Terrace events, which featured talented local musicians and a lively, friendly atmosphere, Boxie Sheffield are delighted to showcase more amazing musicians from the Sheffield area.

Boxie focuses on giving space to artists who are female, non-binary, trans or gender queer, and they will be showcasing a selection of performers from the South Yorkshire area from a variety of genres.

Whilst you’re enjoying the music, why not sample the wide array of street food vendors available at Sheffield Plate? With cuisine from around the world and two bars, there’s choice enough to satisfy all tastes.

Teah Lewis, musician and Boxie Sheffield promoter, said: "I loved performing last year at Music on the Terrace in Orchard Square, as it felt great to bring the creative spirit and culture into the space. It’s exciting to be working on the gigs as a promoter, especially as Boxie is all about providing opportunities to and platforming musicians who self-identify as female or of marginalised genders. I’m looking forward to bringing the performers into a fun space like Sheffield Plate and to work with Sheffield Creative Guild, who I know provide so much support to aspiring creatives and people who want to set up creative careers."

Music in the Square is free for all to attend, so come along for an evening of wonderful local talent, delicious food and a fantastic summer atmosphere.

The Music in the Square events are made possible as part of the Economic Recovery Fund.
