Photo North Pop Up

Join Photo North for a pop-up exhibition showcasing the finalists of their student photography competition, alongside a  number of acclaimed photographers at Beton House, Park Hill. 

The winner and the runner up will be announced by their esteemed judging panel including: Carl Palmer & Jamie Honeywood, Channel 4’s Senior Pictures Team & Photo North sponsor David Campbell, Managing Director at Alumno.

Exhibiting artists include Richard Davis and Peter Dench, along with a talk/Q&A of the history of Park Hill by Martin Gray.

Photographer and co-runner of Sheffield Modernist Society, Sean Madner, will also be sharing images of Sheffield’s most iconic modernist buildings past and present.

Steven Marland of Modern Mooch will be providing a talk that supports these photographs and asking questions such as: How did Sheffield reshape its post-war architecture? How did education, retail, leisure and culture come together in the city centre? How has that architecture been treated in the C21?

In addition to this there will also be opportunities to meet artists, screenings, book signings, music and refreshments.

The first 50 bookings on Eventbrite will receive a FREE 'Happy Meal' provided by Pearl at Park Hill, including a cocktail and side dish, with non alcoholic and vegan options available.  

There will also be a paid bar.
