Sensoria, the UK's festival of film, music and digital, is excited to present its sweet 16th edition, which will bring live music, film events and exhibitions to iconic venues across Sheffield.
A celebration of a city and its music, film, art and electronica, Sensoria runs from 5 - 8 October.
The SENSORIAPRO conference is an annual gathering of composers, filmmakers and music industry professionals.
2023 welcomes WILL GREGORY (Goldfrapp) and ADRIAN UTLEY (Portishead); the music team behind THE FULL MONTY, explaining how they sound-tracked the TV series set in Sheffield; the ever popular SCORING CONTEST and multi-instrumentalist BISHI talking about her recent work using Artificial Intelligence – and her score to VR videogame experience Maya: Birth of a Superhero.
The festival also features NORDIC GIANTS, a visceral live music performance accompanying short films, taking place at the University of Sheffield Drama Studio.
HIGH SCORES showcases a selection of artists influenced by videogame music including PIZZA HOTLINE, CHIPZEL and HARLEYLIKESMUSIC.
THE BLACK DOG launch their new album MY BRUTAL LIFE with a live set at University of Sheffield Drama Studio plus an exhibition at the iconic Moore Street Electricity Substation.
Created by Sound On Sound magazine, SYNTHFEST UK gives over 50 companies an opportunity to showcase their synth products to the public. The one-day event attracts visitors from across the UK, Europe and beyond.

Since it began in 2008, the festival has welcomed the likes of Jarvis Cocker, Bill Drummond, Richard Hawley, Forgemasters, Chris and Cosey, Laurie Anderson, Nitin Sawhney, Christopher Eccleston, Jlin, DJ Stingray, and many more.
Renowned for its use of unusual venues, events have included city centre Drive-Ins, swimming pool screenings, and an AV installation in a 60s hotel ballroom.
