Sheffield’s digital community will celebrate the strength and innovation of the city’s technology industry in a week of events from 9 - 13 May.
This year's Sheffield Digital Festival will be happening in “real life” after two years of being online, with a wide variety of events to explore.
The theme of the 2022 edition of the festival is “Our Future City”, with events, talks and demonstrations looking at how technology can help improve health, tackle the challenge of decarbonisation and support our region’s culture and heritage after the trials of the past two years.
First taking place in 2019, the festival is organised through a partnership between Field and Sheffield Digital. This year’s Festival is supported by several sponsors, including premier sponsor EyUp, the coding and entrepreneurship academy founded by David Richards, a tech entrepreneur who set up WANdisco.
Additional sponsors include technology and engineering consultancy BJSS Ltd, Business Sheffield (the business support arm of the Sheffield City Council), Sheffield Hallam University and the Showroom Workstation.
Full details of the programme of events, plus information on how to register for tickets for the half day conference on 12 May, can all be found on the Sheffield Digital Festival website: sheffielddigitalfestival.com.
