Sheffield Grand Prix 2023

Sheffield Grand Prix 2023 is back and will be held on Wednesday 19 July, bringing competitive cycling back to the streets of Sheffield City Centre.

Now in it’s 9th year, the event will once again be part of the British Cycling National Circuit Race Series, attracting the UK’s top teams and riders to race around a new reworked 1.4km circuit.

The event takes place in the heart of the city centre, with early evening activity focused on the Peace Gardens and surrounding area.

The first youth races will start at 5.00pm and the Sheffield Grand Prix will bring the evening to a climax with the countries top male and female professional riders racing around the city centre circuit.

Each lap of just over 1.4km includes a cobbled section and sweeps past famous landmarks such as the Crucible Theatre and Sheffield Town Hall, before finishing outside Browns Sheffield on Union Street.

For over a decade, the British Cycling’s Elite Circuit Series has brought together a handful of the very best town and city centre cycle races in the UK under the umbrella of the British Cycling Elite Circuit Series.

Membership of this exclusive group of events guarantees the highest quality field with some of Great Britain’s best professional and Olympic cyclists regularly participating.

As with previous years, a supporting regional circuit race will precede the main elite men’s and new for 2023 will be a women’s event, both part of the British Cycling National Circuit Series.

The regional support race will open to 2nd, 3rd and 4th category male and female riders.
