Sherita Perez is a unique singer-songwriter that creates memorable songs from authentic experiences with a heart-felt sound that draws listeners into the moment. People say her voice echoes the styles of Stevie Nicks, Joni Mitchell, Janis Joplin, Joan Jett and Dolly Parton. Although her roots lie in Texas, she continues to grow and cultivate her music style on the road, as she remains down to earth while blasting off into outer space.
Sherita has toured internationally, performing at the New Zealand Harvest [Cannabis] Festival in 2019 & has opened for Joan Osborne and James McMurtry. Sherita has supported shows for Ani DeFranco, The String Cheese Incident, and Taj Mahal. Recently, Sherita was a performer at the 25th Annual Kate Wolf Music Festival and The Hog Farm Hideaway 2022 at The Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, CA, as well as played at The Golden Gate Band Shell in San Francisco, CA.
Sherita has been featured on BMI’s Singer-Songwriter Series at The Saxon Pub and the Texas Music Office’s Texas Music Mixtape KOOP Radio- Original Music Hour alongside Willie Nelson, Nora Jones & Shiny Ribs. Sherita also has an artist sponsorship with Berkeley Mandolins and received a scholarship SWRFA 2022.
