Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop – Full Day

02 Apr 2022 10:00 - 16:30

On this full day course you will have the opportunity to make a couple of pieces of jewellery from silver clay.

Silver clay is relatively new to the world of jewellery making, introduced by Mitsubishi in the early 90s. It is made from tiny particles of reclaimed and recycled silver which are mixed with a non toxic organic binder. The clay can be rolled, textured, moulded and carved. During firing, the binder burns away and the silver particles sinter so you are left with a beautiful piece of solid silver. There are so many possibilities to create some beautiful jewellery.

In your full day class you will learn some of the basic techniques needed to create silver clay jewellery and shown how to use the required tools in the workshop.
