Steel City Stoning Presents Ironrat & Hell Fire Jack (2 Stoner Rock Bands)

The First Ever 'Steel City Stoning' @ Yorkshireman, Sheffield takes place on Thursday September 21st that sees two powerful well-loved bands take to the stage!

Ironrat - A dirty, down-tuned beast from Bradford, West Yorkshire who will grace you with their groove! Bradford’s Ironrat mix aggressive Doom/Stoner Rock tendencies, a blast of pure rock attitude with sweet 70s twin guitar harmonies, all topped off with the groove of southern rock.

Initially formed in 2008 after Metallica’s return to old-school album ‘Death Magnetic’ sparked a conversation between Wayne & Martin which led to a jam which lead to a band. A string of well received gigs followed with the likes of Charger, Conan and Alunah as well as playing the Yorkshire Pudding Biker festival.

2014 brought new material and line-up changes that saw Ironrat release their debut video single ‘Eye Lucifer’ and sealing a reputation for powerful performances.

Supported by Hell Fire Jack – A British brutal blues duo who are as loud as hell. Hell Fire Jack is an explosive brutal blues duo from North Yorkshire, comprising Alex Trewhitt (guitar/vocals) and Jack Fleming (drums).

Formed in 2012, the band has so far taken their high-octane, no-holds-barred take on the blues to audiences across the UK.

2018 saw the release of their first studio album ‘Chains’, with many tracks being aired on BBC Music Introducing. Since then, the duo has continued to write and release new material whilst touring as frequently as possible.

A strong reference to mental instability, insecurity and a constant struggle with modern life is evident in many of the duo’s songs. Despite this morose, almost inherently depressive lyrical content, the delivery is anything but.

Live sets are fast-paced and uncompromising with fuzzed-up riffs, hard-hitting beats and a fierce vocal delivery.
