The Black Ladies Group
The Black Ladies’ Group have worked with Sheffield’s Roots and Futures partnership on an oral history project so their stories can be passed down to future generations.
This display shows the project photographs with transcriptions from the oral histories, and items belonging to members of the Group that bring back memories of life in Jamaica, settling in Sheffield, and later visits to the Caribbean by themselves and family.
