The Heritage of Bolsterstone - Inventors and Archaeologists

10 Sep 2022 10:00 - 12:30

The walk begins with a tour of the churchyard, seeing the bolsterstones and the grave of the inventor of the Paragon umbrella frame.

We then explore the village and the site of excavations of Bolsterstone Castle, and walk along the ridge up to Whitwell Moor to learn about the Ewden Valley, the Wilsons of Broomhead Hall and recent archaeological surveys. We return the same way back to the village.
