Two Quakers and Death

13 May 2023 13:00 - 15:00

This event, Two Quakers and Death, is based on the book Twelve Quakers and Death.

Laura Kerr, former Anglican, teacher and probation officer and Shad Woolgrove, Buddhist, former systems analyst and psychotherapist will discuss the Quaker approach to death.

“Are you able to contemplate your death and the death of those closest to you? Accepting the fact of death, we are free to live more fully. In bereavement, give yourself time to grieve. When others mourn, let your love embrace them”

Advices and Queries 1995; Quaker Faith & Practice 1.02.30

Children and young people under the age of 16 need to be with a parent or guardian.

This event is one of a series of free community events running throughout May, enabled by Compassionate Sheffield, to help explore why dying matters.
