Roll up, roll up as WE Wonder returns to the gardens of Wentworth Woodhouse this summer for a colourful day of artistic installations, live music and immersive performances.
Inspired by the Arts Council Collection exhibition, The Vanity of Small Differences by Grayson Perry, WE Wonder will be a riot of fabric and colour, co-curated with communities and artists.
The Wentworth Woodhouse Gardens will be a backdrop for four huge textile structures, immersive performances and a sensational picnic, all celebrating local voices, stories and heritage.
The festival will be a culmination of co-creation between artists and global majority-led and disability-led community groups making textile pieces that come together in a magnificent whole. Huge fabric obelisks will reference the original stone ones that once stood on the lawns: a joyous backdrop to a mass picnic.
