A welcoming and relaxed group for anyone interested in writing, led by poet and musician Ray Hearne. Whether you've been writing your whole life or have never put pen to paper before, come down and enjoy a cuppa and some time with other creative folk.
Ray Hearne is a writer and performer of songs and poems rooted in South Yorkshire communities, their histories and experiences, and has organised and facilitated writers' workshops at every corner of South Yorkshire.
He was also the co-presenter with Rony Robinson for many years of Write On, Radio Sheffield’s poetry programme, and his poem, ‘A Sing Song for Stainless Steel,’ was cut into fourteen Kilkenny marble benches which you can find on the Moor in Sheffield City centre.
This session is for anyone aged 16+ and babes in arms are welcome.
The sessions are pay what you can, which means you can either pay nothing at all, or you can pay an amount that you choose. You can book online or drop in on the day. To book online and choose a date, please click 'other dates' in the box on the right and select your date of choice!
