‘Official’ Jamie celebrations in Sheffield

Amazon Prime Video have kindly licensed the use of the Jamie film artwork for venues in Sheffield to use in hosting their own Jamie inspired parties, menus, cocktails, themed events… and we’re delighted to bring you this page of venues in the city who are planning and hosting special things to celebrate #JamieSheff

The Showroom Cinema

The Funky Beavers and Emma Maezin present “Into the Spotlight” – a night of celebratory lip syncing and drag entertainment to celebrate the cinema release of Everybody’s Talking About Jamie.

To mark the film’s opening night, join Showroom Cinema and Live Cinema UK for an evening of Sheffield talent and celebration, hosted by Miss Cleo and Vivian Twist (The Funky Beavers), and Emma Maezin.

Join us for an evening of singing, lip syncing, games and DJing as we celebrate all things drag, all things Sheffield, and all things Jamie! This is the perfect chance for anyone wanting to try out their lip-syncing skills. We fully encourage you to attend in drag of course.

The Showroom are also putting on a very special Q&A following a screening on Saturday 18 September. Guests include Director Johnathan Butterell and several cast and crew members such as Lauren Patel, Tom MacRae, Dan Gillespie Sells, Peter Carlton and Mark Herbert. Details and tickets here

Abbeydale Picture House

Following the very special Cinema For All screening taking place in sync with the premiere at the Crucible, there’s an afterparty at this iconic venue (which also was used as a location in the film!) with a DJ set by Sarah Christie who runs Night Owls, featuring lots of pop bangers to keep you boogying.

The Great Gatsby

Famed for their parties, Gatsby’s are throwing a special one – and obviously are encouraging anyone who wants to come in drag to do so (the bigger the eyelashes and wigs, the better). There’ll be live DJs, a Jamie themed cocktail menu, and it’s totally free entry from 10pm – 3am.

Crucible Corner

Jamie Premiere – Unofficial After Party
From 9pm Friday 17 September

Sheffield Theatres’ bar restaurant Crucible Corner is the place to be for the premiere’s unofficial after party. Hosted by Sheffield's Whatstheteakeekee and with performance from drag queen Sassy Stryker, get ready to celebrate the journey of this phenomenal show, that started life at the Crucible.

Jamie-themed, decorated with props from the original show, cocktails and drinks offers - the party's just starting, and you don't want to miss it!

Smoke special Jamie cocktail

From Friday 17 onwards Smoke are doing a special Jamie inspired cocktail – so pop over following a quick visit to the costume and prop display in the Winter Garden! It comprises Blue Curacao, Wild Berry Gin and Cointreau, and is finished with a Raspberry and Lemon swirl garnish. They’re selling them at £7.50.

The Old House cocktail menu

A whole menu of cocktails dedicated to Jamie inspiration will be available from the Old House from 17 September to try – maybe just not all at once though!
