Copper Pot Café

A cosy café on Division Street that offers great coffee, fresh food, breakfast, brunch and lunch and some amazing pastries. 

Corner Store

A convenience store on Sharrow Vale Road that entices you in with coffee and cakes, but sells all sorts of bits and bobs in between.

Couch (Campo Lane)

A seriously cosy and comfy café with welcoming industrial décor, Couch specialise in brunch style dishes. Their all-day breakfast is particularly highly rated, but they also offer offer a tempting line-up cakes and sweet treats too.

Crumb

Conveniently over the road from Millhouses Park, Crumb is a bakery specialising in bread, pastries and doughnuts during the day and a pizzeria by night.

Curators House

The Curator's House is an independent café bistro located in the beautiful Botanical Gardens in Sheffield. Open all year round they can offer seasonal, value for money home-made food in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. 

Cutlery Works

Dorothy Pax

Forge Bakehouse

Forge Bakehouse have been baking for the good folk of Sheffield since 2012. Their bakers, chefs and baristas make everything from scratch – meaning they know exactly what’s in it. 

Forge Dam Cafe

Hidden Gem

The Hidden Gem is the perfect quiet retreat set back from Ringinglow Road. You can call in for coffee and cake or something more substantial like a full English breakfast, or nibble on some tasty light bites and delicious specials.

How St

Straight up the hill from the train station, opposite Hallam University central campus, sits How St. They make everything fresh from local produce, and have a lovely outdoor terrace where you can spend plenty of time supping on a coffee while you watch folks wander past.

Hygge

A scandi style cafe with a really cool interior and always a great atmosphere. Frequented by students, staff, visitors and travellers alike, it's a great place to work, hang out, catch a bit to eat or just re-caffeinate. And yes, it's in a building nicknamed the sugar cube... you'll see why when you get there.

Isabella's

Isabella's is a stylish café, bar and restaurant based in the heart of Kelham Island. Decorated with attention-grabbing chandeliers and sumptuous décor, this is a great to have a drink and some food.

Kopi & Chai are a friendly and colourful cafe hub in Meersbrook. As well as their stunning interior, they have a gorgeous sun trap corner outside where you can watch the world go by. They serve hot and cold savoury treats for brunch and lunch with freshly baked cakes made in house - and it all tastes so much better surrounded by the plants, the parquet floor, and the beautiful tiling.

La Croissanteria by Cawa

La Croissanteria by Cawa supplies freshly baked croissants with various savoury and sweet fillings baked in their local bakery as well as their own roasted coffee.

Laundry cafe

The Laundry Cafe is situated within the unique interior of the award winning hair salon, but anyone is free to pop in for a drink and treat. They have a range of cold press juices alongside premium coffees and teas, and plenty of sweet treats alongside.

Made by Jonty

For over 10 years this delightful café has been serving all day brunch to the lovely people of Sheffield on Sharrowvale Road. Whilst the brunch menu features favourites like the breakfast burrito, the lunch specials are created according to seasonal ingredients, so there is always something new to try.

Marmadukes

They have three locations - the original one is just by the Crucible on Norfolk Row, the second below the HSBC building in the Heart of the City development, and the most recent one on Ecclesall Road South in the old sorting office. All three have a charm and identity of their own whilst still totally feeling like one of Sheffield's favourite independent cafe's.

S17

S17 is, in one guise, a great coffee, breakfast, brunch and lunch spot in a leafy suburb of the city. But with their other hat on (which is becoming quite a frequently worn hat) they do brilliant bistro evenings, some of which collaborate with other chefs to bring extra special evenings in a very cosy and different surrounding.

Saw Grinders Union

A beautiful repurposed space and cobbled courtyard, combining their passion for heritage with an equal passion for coffee, beer, cocktails, and burgers. 

Showroom Bar & Cafe

The Showroom Café Bar is situated just a minute's walk from Sheffield Train Station, in an impressive 1930s Art Deco building. Transformed some 10 years ago into a stylish café bar and four screen independent cinema, the Showroom is at the heart of Sheffield's cultural quarter.

South Street Kitchen

The Cabin is a cosy Canadian pancake and waffle house, located at the bottom of The Moor shopping precinct in Sheffield's City Centre. It can get very busy, especially on weekends, so be sure to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

The Chakra Lounge is a delightful vegan cafe fusing Indo-Western cuisine in Fitzalan Square in the city centre. With lush interiors and great culinary creations (and some tasty drinks to boot), you'll find it a wonderful spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

The Depot Bakery

The Depot bakery is an artisan bakery, retail and brunch eatery space in a gorgeous, renovated industrial space. They carefully pair speciality coffee with a range of bespoke baked goods and an inspired brunch menu.

The Grind Café

Situated in the heart of Sheffield’s bustling Kelham Island, The Grind Café is an award-winning, independently owned, boutique café and bar, serving expertly brewed coffee, carefully crafted cocktails, tasty treats baked on-site daily, and a delicious menu bursting with flavour.

The Old Coach House Café & Kitchen

The Coach House in Hillsborough Park, has undergone significant renovation to reopen as a café and kitchen, managed by team behind the city's much-loved Depot Bakery.

The Rhubarb Shed

You'll find the Rhubarb Shed on the Manor Green site where the remains of Manor Castle still (built in 1516) - a part of the city with a long history, which currently operates as a very successful social enterprise.
