Sheffield Food Festival is back for 2014

05 February 2014

Sheffield Food Festival will return on the bank holiday weekend between Saturday 24 May and Monday 26 May taking full advantage of the Spring Bank holiday weekend.

New for 2014 is its location, stretching from The Moor with its new indoor Moor Market towards the Peace Gardens and Town Hall Square in the city centre.

Last year the city centre attracted a staggering 244,000 visitors over three days establishing it as the leading city centre festival in the South Yorkshire region.

The event is organised and delivered by The Sheffield Food Festival Partnership led by Sheffield Business School at Sheffield Hallam University partnered with Sheffield City Council, the City Centre Management and Major Events team and new partner the Scottish Widows Investment Partnership Trust.

The Festival is a free urban event that celebrates South Yorkshire as a vibrant culinary destination showcasing the diverse food culture of the region and supports the local food economy. This year you will be able to tickle your taste buds with culinary delights from a diverse array of local food producers, exhibitors and pop up restaurants. Old favourites will be back including the Town Hall Square allotment, the WI Victoria sandwich competition and the hugely entertaining demonstration kitchen.
