Bricktropolis returns to Sheffield for 2019!
17 August 2019
The annual celebration of LEGO-themed creativity and design returns to the city, bringing with it a range of family activities to keep the kids entertained during the summer holidays!
This year's event follows an intergalactic theme and runs from the 17th-30th August. The festival includes a 16-model trail through the City Centre, streaching between Barker's Pool, Fargate, Castlegate and the Moor, with a number of high street shops housing the figures. Those who complete the trail are entered into a competition to win a family trip to LEGOland Winsor!
Other activities include an 'Interactive Building Zone' at the Bricktropolis pop-up store on Barker's Pool, and four giant mosaic builds in Sheffield City Hall's Ball Room!
The event is operated by Sheffield BID (Business Improvement District), who aim to increase footfall in Sheffield City Centre, boosting Sheffield's economy and attracting investment to the city. Bricktropolis is just one of their projects aiming to do just this.
The event is completely free and great fun for all the family, so why not head to the City Centre and see what you discover!
