  1.  Sheffield Christmas Markets                                                                     
    15 November – 24 December
    Enjoy that festive feeling and browse a huge choice of seasonal goodies on offer from the traditional wooden cabins located on Fargate, Pinstone Street and around the Peace Gardens. Peruse the over 50 stalls, visit Santa in his grotto, enjoy a hot chocolate in the Alpine Lodge and admire the twinkling lights as darkness falls.

    27 November – 23 December
    Sheffield BID’s annual Christmas Trail returns, with Brearley Bear embarking on another interactive adventure to help keep families entertained, while out and about in the city centre. After so long without seeing any of his friends, Brearley Bear has decided to organise a Christmas party reunion. But oh dear, the party invitations have got all mixed up!     27 & 28 November

    Join Whirlow Hall Farm for great festive family event. You can shop for unique special gifts, while enjoying mulled wine, mince pies, live music and local choirs, and can even meet The Grinch!

  4. The Beginning Light Show at Sheffield Cathedral
    30 November - 5 December.
    Over six nights, The Beginning will present another stunning sensory experience of light and sound at Sheffield Cathedral. Illuminations will be projected across the exterior facade of the Cathedral, before visitors are welcomed into the building, to be immersed with music and lights inspired by the cathedral’s stained-glass windows and enjoy more than 30 beautifully decorated Christmas trees.

    1 – 23 December
    Transforming Magna’s carpark into a magical festive experience, Christmas Wonderland brings you all things festive this December with an array of attractions, activities and entertainment. Roast a marshmallow around a fire pit, enjoy a drink in the Alpine Bar, have a ride on the winter fair, walk around festive lights, peruse the stalls and street food or capture special moments friends or family in the selfie zones!

  6. Sleeping Beauty panto in the Lyceum Theatre
    3 December - 3 January
    Starring comedy great Janine Duvitski (Benidorm), legendary Dame, Damian Williams, alongside actor, presenter and comic Ben Thornton (Cinderella), Lucas Rush (Damian’s Pop-Up Panto!, Rock of Ages), Hannah Everest (Gypsy) and Dominic Sibanda (Hairspray)- Sleeping Beauty promises to be the pantomime of your dreams, with lavish sets, hilarious jokes and fun for the whole family!

  7. Victorian Christmas Market at Kelham Island Museum
    4 & 5 December

    A staple in Sheffield’s festive calendar! Kelham Island Museum’s Victorian Christmas Market is a full family event complete with live music, street theatre, fairground and over 80 stalls selling an array of Sheffield made wares, quality gifts and seasonal goods.

  8. Love Actually in Concert at Sheffield City Hall
    7 December

    Love Actually, the seasonal romcom that has become synonymous for so many with the festive period, comes to Sheffield City Hall with a full orchestra performing the soundtrack, live to picture.

  9. Wartime Christmas at the National Emergency Services Museum
    11 & 12 December
    Turn the clock back 80 years and step into a fabulous 1940s festive wonderland! Join a whole host of costumed characters, living history interpreters and even Father Christmas, for a truly traditional Christmas event.

  10. Disney on Ice at Sheffield Utilita Arena 
    16 - 19 December
    Disney On Ice presents Find Your Hero, an adventure filled with tales of heroism from your favourite Disney stories. Join fearless way-finder Moana and demigod Maui as they bravely voyage into uncharted territories to return the stolen heart of Te Fiti. Journey alongside Anna and Elsa on their quest to protect the kingdom. Dive “Under The Sea” and test the power of true love with The Little Mermaid. Get tangled with Rapunzel as she dares to explore the world outside her own. And be there, as Belle boldly tames the fearsome Beast.

  11. Christmas Drive Thru Cinema at Gullivers Valley
    17 - 23 December
    The Village Screen bring their Drive In Cinema to the leafy grounds of Gulliver’s Valley for a series of classic festive films.  Cinema screenings include National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Die Hard, Arthur Christmas, The Holiday, The Polar Express, Home Alone, Elf, It’s a Wonderful Life, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Miracle of 34th Street.

  12. Christmas Concert at Sheffield City Hall
    Saturday 18 December

    The award-winning Black Dyke Band has a rich heritage stretching back to the Victorian age. This Christmas celebration is the perfect opportunity to experience its unrivalled pedigree in the glorious brass band tradition, while Sheffield Philharmonic Chorus, will also take to the stage with some festive favourites, including a selection of carols and songs that involve audience participation.
