The Old School House Carlecotes

Carlecotes is a peaceful hamlet to the north of the Park District National Park and the cottage enjoys an elevated position (at 1150′) with ever-changing open moorland views.

Built in 1830, the cottage provides an ideal base for visitors seeking a holiday with a country or city focus. The beautiful Peak Park with picturesque towns and villages lies to the South and is easily accessible.

The area caters for all tastes - including the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Cannon Hall and farm, National Coal Mining Museum, Magna Science Adventure Centre and Eureka (Museum for Children). Holmfirth (famous for the Last of the Summer Wine TV Series) is nearby, as is the market town of Penistone where bikes can be hired.
