The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre

The AWRC is run by Sheffield Hallam University, and within this huge and globally significant project there is a Wellbeing Accelerator to help start-ups bring health and wellbeing innovations to market.

It's an R&D-focused programme that supports pre-revenue and early-stage companies developing products or services with health and wellbeing applications that align with the AWRC’s impact themes. Situated at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, businesses have the opportunity to work across the site networks with available property to grow and scale the business. Companies like BuddyBoost have seriously benefitted from this partnership with the AWRC accelerator.
