Sheffield has always been a city of makers, where craftsmanship runs through everything it does – and beer is no exception. From traditional brewing roots to modern, experimental pours, creativity and quality sit at the heart of every pint.

And Sheffield isn’t just rather good at beer. For more than 40 years, the city has helped shape the craft beer movement, influencing brewers and beer lovers far beyond the UK. It’s a place that truly inspires the craft of beer.

In 2026, visitors and locals alike are invited to experience that passion firsthand and raise a glass to Sheffield’s vibrant brewing scene, with a fantastic lineup of festivals taking place throughout the year.

The celebrations culminate in the landmark 50th edition of the renowned Steel City Beer & Cider Festival, a fitting grand finale that showcases the best of Sheffield’s brewing talent and long-standing love affair with great beer and cider.
