The Northern Capital of Cool hosts delayed 2nd prestigious Northern Forum for leading event planners across the North.

Marketing Sheffield has continued to work with Haymarket Events to ensure the 2nd C&IT Northern Forum will be held in Sheffield on 28th and 29th March 2022, originally postponed from 2020 due to the pandemic. The successful joint bid with Cutlers’ Hall, The Mercure St Paul’s Hotel and Spa and The University of Sheffield will see top event planners from across the North experiencing all that Sheffield has to offer.

Calum Di Lieto, Editor of C&IT Magazine said,

"Over the last few years C&IT has made a very conscious push to engage the MICE industry outside of London. A lot of the biggest agencies are based in the North of the country and are often forced to commute to the capital or lose out!

After an incredibly successful debut in 2019, Northern Forum is returning and giving us another fantastic opportunity to bring event planners together. What's more it is a chance to showcase a brilliant destination like Sheffield to some of the most influential decision-makers in the country.

I'm personally very excited for what looks to be two excellent days of content, networking and exploration!"

Unique to Northern regions, C&IT's Northern Forum stands out as one of the most exclusive forums out there and is part of a highly successful series of UK and international forums run by Haymarket event across the year.

Emma France, Marketing Sheffield, said “Following a very difficult and stressful year for the events industry, we are delighted that our friends at Haymarket have chosen Sheffield for the 2nd Northern Forum. We want to help build back confidence in events and Sheffield is a popular choice for event planners looking at cities in the North.  We are excited to be working with the C&IT team plus a range of partners across the city to deliver an inspirational event. The Forum is all about professional Northern agency and corporate buyers enjoying professional insight, knowledge and entertainment all in one place- what better opportunity to show off some of the best of Sheffield!”

The main forum takes place at Cutlers’ Hall with Mercure St Paul’s Hotel and True North Brew Co hosting a drinks reception at the Winter Garden.  The University of Sheffield will host delegates for dinner at its contemporary dining venue, INOX.  Delegates will get to enjoy the incredible jewellery making experience offered by local company Cast which is proving popular with some of the world’s top corporate brands and delegates will stay at the Mercure St Paul’s Hotel.
