Whirlow Brook Park is a district park in the south-west of Sheffield. Those who visit it often comment on its special air of tranquillity and scenic setting.
A Friends group was set up in 2021 to help restore the park and the group became a Registered Charity in July 2023.
Much work has been done by the Friends since then, including re-designing a sunken garden, building new fences, planting hedges and borders, replacing a children's maze, repairing paths and walls etc.
A Tree Trail and a Children's Trail have also been developed including sculptures, a story chair, fairy doors and lots more to look our for.
The Group also organise an Easter rail in April and music concerts in the summer. More details on the website.

Full details of the history of the park and Whirlow Brook Hall can be found on their website.
Whirlow Brook Park is accessible by car from the crescent on the A625 in Sheffield where Ecclesall Road South becomes Hathersage Road.
There are two car parks and the Shelter Café, close to the lower car park, where there are toilets available during the Café opening hours, currently 9:00am to 4:00pm.
There are blue badge spaces available at the upper car park behind Whirlow Brook Hall.
There is no parking or drop-off facility for coaches but parking for coaches is available at nearby Whirlow Fields, at the end of the track that is the first left turn on Limb Lane heading away from the Park.
There is an accessible path between the two car parks and also by the formal borders next to the upper car park. The lawns can be accessed in dry weather. However the uneven surfaces and steps in the heritage rock garden make it difficult to access.
