Blend Culinary Foundation is a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), and sits at the very heart of Blend Family.
Within their fully equipped, 18-station kitchen located in Cambridge Street Collective, guests can maximise their creative minds and share a love of food; allowing them to give back to the community.
Through community classes, social cookery classes, corporate pledge days, team building days and other events, they raise valuable funds to support local initiatives and to give back to the community.
They are also proud to support local initiatives like the S6 Foodbank and the Children's Hospital Charity.
Backstory
During lockdown, the kitchens at Cutlery Works in Kelham Island, Sheffield were utilised by Blend Family to prepare meals for local food banks.
This helped alleviate food poverty in the community, especially for children who missed out on school meals. Food collection points, "tap to donate" card readers, and kids-eat-free programmes during school holidays were introduced to further support the cause.
Fast forward to the opening of Cambridge Street Collective in May 2024, Matt and Nina saw an opportunity to make an even greater impact through Blend Culinary Foundation.
Corporate events and private hire with a purpose
The Kitchen is also available for corporate events, providing a unique space for businesses to celebrate milestones, reward teams, or foster creativity and unity.
These events help companies achieve their economic social governance (ESG) goals while supporting the foundation’s mission of alleviating food poverty and insecurity, enhancing food education, and uniting diverse cultural communities through food.

Social Cookery Classes
The increasingly popular cookery classes, provided by Niki and Wendy, cater to guests of all cooking experience levels, dietary requirements, preferences and ages.
