Opened in 1998 and now a registered charity Hillsborough Sports Arena was funded by Sport England to develop what was a run-down area into a safe, attractive, positive environment. It has developed over the years to become a valuable community, sports, recreational and social centre owned, managed and used by local people.
With approximately 1,500 users per week the Arena provides a base for all types of groups to grow and develop. Many of our clubs offer diversionary activities and interventions that divert young people from aimless or anti-social activities into pro-social, organised and constructive activities.
