Sheffield City Walking Tours

Sheffield City Walking Tours - Established 2013.

Marcus Newton continues to deliver informative and fun guided walking tours through Sheffield city centre and its surrounding area. Celebrating the tenth year of Sheffield City Walking Tours in 2023, Marcus ‘s knowledge of the city’s history is immense. On a walking tour with him, customers are given an insight into how Sheffield deserves its reputation as a great place to visit, live, work and study.

Marcus offers pre-bookable private walking tours seven days a week, mornings, afternoons and early evenings subject to availability. They can begin and end at a city centre location of your choice. (He recommends meeting him at the front of The Crucible Theatre in Tudor Square). If you have any special interests, these can be incorporated into your tour.

Each tour takes you on a journey through 900 years of Sheffield’s social and industrial history. Marcus’s tours incorporate key city centre landmarks as well as allowing him to share his enthusiasm for how Sheffield’s future is evolving.

Tours cost £20 per person. Please pay in cash.

Marcus is also experienced in delivering walks and talks for business team builds, school party tours and giving presentations to societies who have a special interest in the history of Sheffield.
