The Dorothy Fox Education Centre is a premier site for education in the Sheffield Botanical Gardens. It is a flexible space including 3 bookable classrooms which can also be opened to create a large lecture area.
The centre is well equipped with screens, seating, desks, and Wi-Fi. The centre offers the potential to host all educational opportunities including for schools, practical courses for adult learners, as well as a programme of lectures, demonstrations, art classes, hobby-based activities, and photography courses.
Please note the centre only takes bookings for events and activities which involve education and learning. Private functions are not possible. If you are unsure about whether your booking would be eligible, please email the Education and Engagement Co-ordinator laura.alston@sheffield.gov.uk

Please be aware that there is limited parking for users of the Dorothy Fox Centre. There are bays for first come, first serve only parking to one side of the drive which should be prioritised for users with limited mobility alongside the disabled bays for Blue badge holders.
The Education and Engagement Co-ordinator can liaise with you if you need to drop off equipment or resources for workshops or events at the Centre. There is paid parking in the area around the Botanical Gardens.
If you are bringing a minibus or coach, there are drop off points outside the Clarkehouse Road entrance to the Botanical Gardens (S10 2LN).
There are also excellent public transport links to the Dorothy Fox Centre https://journeyplanner.travelsouthyorkshire.com/ for workshops or events at the Centre.
The Centre is accessible for wheelchair users and has accessible toilet facilities and non-gender defined toilets.
