Carpet of Blue (U) screenings, music and activities on 15th & 16th May.
Carpet of Blue is a short film by Sam Wichelow capturing footage of Ecclesall Woods during bluebell season. Liz Hanks has created a specially written soundtrack underscoring Wichelow's film to showcase one of the most colourful yet fleeting displays in nature's calendar.
Friday 15th May sees two screenings with live cello accompaniment from Liz Hanks at 4.30pm and 6.30pm. £4.50 general admission.
On Saturday 16th May there will be a screening of the film with a recorded soundtrack of Liz Hanks’ music.
The film installation on Saturday is free to enter, you can just drop in at any time between 10.30am - 3pm.
@bloomsheffield are hosting a Flower Crown workshop on Saturday 16th May from 1.15 - 3pm. You can make your own crown and take it home.
Sensoria Festival are presenting this activity during bluebell season so that you can have a wander in the woods and then sit and watch the film at your leisure.
