Para athletes from across the globe will travel to Sheffield this April to compete in the inaugural Cue-10 Para World Snooker Championship, a landmark international event celebrating elite disability snooker.
Part of a wider 17-day Festival of Snooker taking place across the city. This event will features international para-snooker players, a professional arena playing environment, live match action and finals stage atmosphere. An opportunity to experience inclusive sport at the highest level.
The championship has been created by Stephen Harrison MBE, founder of the Stephen Harrison Snooker
Academy, whose mission for more than two decades has been to create safe, inclusive and empowering
opportunities for people with disabilities through the sport of snooker.
The Academy now supports more than 250 weekly members and has become one of the leading centres for
disability snooker in the UK.
Stephen’s inspiration comes from his father Ray Harrison, who won Gold for Team GB at the 1985 World
Paraplegic Snooker Championship, proving that snooker can transform lives.
