Come along and help celebrate the launch of digital artwork Image Empire and discuss AI, image-making, and the future of work.
AI technology is quickly establishing itself in every corner of videogame production, from world-building to storytelling and beyond, but is AI a powerful tool for creativity or a threat?
From the maker of The Wizard of AI, Dr Alan Warburton, comes a new artwork exploring what it means to live in a world driven by the obsession to see everything, all at once. Image Empire explores the conflict between the real and the virtual and how AI is changing the world we live in.
Come along on Thursday 5th March at the National Videogame Museum for an exclusive screening of Image Empire, followed by a panel discussion with artist Dr Alan Warburton, curator Hannah Redler-Hawes, and John O’Shea, Creative Director & Co-CEO at National Videogame Museum.
There will also be a special presentation by artist and writer Georgina Voss, examining how AI-generated imagery is escaping into the wild and changing the way we see the world. Together, the panel will explore the opportunities, challenges and ethical questions raised by AI-driven image-making, and the increasingly blurred boundary between the real and the virtual.
There will be an opportunity for audience questions, and plenty of time for networking and exploring the games in our gallery after the panel has concluded.
