Japan Day

Come and immerse yourself in the beauty of Japan—whether you love anime, traditional culture, or delicious food, there’s something for everyone. Bring your friends and enjoy an unforgettable experience.

This event is organised by the Japan Society at the University of Sheffield. It is a day celebrating Japanese culture, through traditional games, workshops, performances and food!

It is an event open to the public and local community. Workshops include flower arranging, calligraphy, taiko drumming, tea ceremony and there are performances from an enka (Showa era performance) singer, a shamisen player and so much more!
