Jonny Halifax Invocation, who have seemingly thrown together fuzzed steel, avant blues and free jazz into something so unique, it's hard to pin down, play live at Alder.

This band's sound is so huge, they are going to leave no space unfilled. Experimental but thought out, one of the most exciting and raw sounds to come out of Sheffield in a while!

Support comes from Bobby Lee, bringing his laid back dusty guitar, sort of a psychedelic Americana guitar king in his own right.

20ft Squid Blues Band are seasoned performers at Alder who play swampy, big hearted blues with plenty of swing. Martin Bedford once described them as "Sheffield's answer to Canned Heat" and "when everything seems as if it could fall apart, they swing it back around in a big way"
