As the finals of the Halo World Snooker Championship take place in Sheffield, there will be a special weekend programme of live music to add to the atmosphere in Tudor Square between sessions, 1 - 4 May.
Once again, Lowe Academy of Music and the Arts are delighted to return as the curator of the live outdoor “Pocket Stage” in Tudor Square during the finals weekend.
Audiences can enjoy a vibrant programme of Sheffield-based artists performing a diverse mix of genres, with each set scheduled in the lead-up to key matches, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere in the heart of the city.
Located under a marquee on the main green outside The Head of Steam, the Pocket Stage offers the perfect setting to relax, enjoy refreshments, and watch live music while taking in championship highlights on the large outdoor screen.
The event is part of a programme of celebratory activity to mark the World Snooker in Sheffield throughout the tournament - look our for street performers The Hedge Men and The Mirror Men who will be wandering around too.
