The Weston Park Cancer Charity invites the community to take part in tying Ribbons of Hope, which will be on display from 30 May to 30 June on the Bridge of Remembrance in Weston Park.
These beautiful white and purple ribbons will each serve as an individual tribute, bearing the name of someone special. Each ribbon will be handwritten by dedicated volunteers.
Visitors will be able to find their loved one’s name and take time to reflect in the park’s peaceful surroundings.
Refreshments will also be available in the park, with the Motore café coffee van donating 50p from every drink sold to support the ribbon initiative.
The event is open to anyone wishing to remember someone special, regardless of whether their loved one was cared for at Weston Park Cancer Centre.
Participants will be invited to make a donation of their choice alongside their ribbon. These donations will help fund vital cancer research, treatment enhancements, and support services for the one in two people in the region who will face cancer.
