Sheffield Beer Week is a week-long festival celebrating the region’s brewing landscape – old and new!
Taking place every March, 2026 marks the 12th edition of the citywide festival, running from Monday 9 to Sunday 15 March 2026, with events spread across multiple venues throughout Sheffield.
For 2026, Sheffield Beer Week will celebrate the city’s sonic and synth musical heritage under the banner ‘Sheffield Synth City’.
This special theme pays homage to Sheffield’s legendary electronic music legacy as the home to pioneers of synth‑pop, electronic, and bleep‑and‑bass, including The Human League, Heaven 17, Cabaret Voltaire, Clock DVA, Warp Records, and many more.
Collaboration remains at the heart of the festival, with many of the city’s bars, pubs and restaurants joining forces with local, national and international breweries to present unique beery events.
Breweries already involved include Abbeydale, Tapped Brew Co, Triple Point, Kelham Island, Bradfield, Little Mesters, Emmanuales, Ticking Clock, Thornbridge, Duality, True North, Little Critters and Saint Mars of the Desert.
For 2026, these breweries will be creating exclusive beers inspired by classic electronic genres, iconic Sheffield acts, or even the flavour profiles of their favourite analogue synths - an innovative mash‑up of two of Sheffield’s celebrated cultural exports: its renowned brewing industry and its influential music scene.
Every day of the festival promises unique, beery, and musically inspired events to enjoy!

The spirit of independent brewing in this nation has been shaped by Sheffield, inspiring a movement that has given us one of the best reputations in the world, for a sector that is also worth £1.8 billion to the UK.
In 2026, visitors and locals alike are invited to raise a glass to Sheffield’s vibrant brewing scene with a fantastic lineup of festivals taking place throughout the year.
The cultural impact of electronic music is closely tied to Sheffield, whose late‑70s and early‑80s pioneers helped shape the genre as we know it. Today, the city’s artists, producers, performers and festivals continue to lead the way, pushing boundaries, shaping the industry and introducing audiences to new sounds and unforgettable experiences.
As one of the craft brewing capitals of the world, there's a lot of folk in Sheffield who know a thing or two about making, selecting and drinking some of the finest brews - be they sours, stouts, IPAs, APAs or straight up bitters.
